Choose the right CDI/ECU/Speed Converter/Power Commander to boost your scooter. (TIP)

There are several options for it boosting your scooter. Which option is most suitable for your scooter depends on a number of things: Depending on the type of scooter (Euro 2, Euro 4 or Euro 5), the brand, model and year of manufacture. Does your scooter work with a CDI, ECU, speed converter, or power commander. Do you want a solution with or without remote control? We will start with an explanation of the CDI CDIs that fall under the EURO2 scooter, which were made up to and including December 2017.

Information about CDIs and CDIs with remote control China Scooter EURO2 UP TO 2017, AC Alternating Current.

All scooters have a 12v electrical installation. On scooters that use a carburetor, the ignition is controlled by a CDI (capacitive discharge ignition).

The CDI is an electrical component that ensures that combustion takes place at the right time. In 4-stroke scooters, the CDI is responsible for, among other things, limiting. By replacing this part with a faster one, the speed can be increased. They are also equipped with a remote control so that you can switch between the original speed and possibly a higher speed. The CDIs shown in the images above are suitable for (AC) alternating current scooters. Almost all Chinese EURO2 scooters operate on alternating current.

There are CDIs that work with alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC). It is important to carefully check which of the 2 is suitable for your scooter.

If you place an AC CDI in a DC scooter, this will lead to a blown fuse or the CDI burning out. So it is important to order the correct type.

AC CDI (Alternating current)

Alternating current/AC CDIs are used in all Chinese scooters with a GY6 engine with a pulse generator/speed sensor in the inside of the crankcase/kickstart lid. These scooters have been released under hundreds of different names, but almost all come from China. In China they have several factories, Znen, Benzhou, TYM, Riya and Baotian are some of them.

DC CDI (Direct Current)

Direct current/DC CDIs can be found in scooters with a GY6 engine from brands such as Kymco, Sym, Peugeot and Beeline. These scooters are limited both mechanically and electrically, across the board (from 0 km/h to top speed).

This is the reason why they accelerate less quickly than a scooter with an alternating current CDI with pulse generator. These scooters also have a vario ring in the variomatic clutch, so they cannot go faster than 35 km per hour. Scooters were equipped with CDIs under the EURO2017 standard until December 2, and in January 2018 the scooters were required to obtain the EURO4 environmental standard. As a result, scooters subsequently had to be equipped with computers to meet environmental requirements. We call the abbreviation of this computer ECU.

Information about: ECU and Speed Converter after January 1, 2018 EURO4 (step-up sets)

Models made after January 1, 2018 must meet the EURO4 standard. These scooters, which are equipped with an injection engine, no longer use a CDI but work with an ECU (Engine control unit). This is also seen as the brain of a scooter. The ECU controls, among other things, the ignition and fuel injection. An ECU can be unlimited via software. This is also called Chip tuning.

There are a number of different systems such as the Dellorto ECU system, the Rongmao EFI full-injection system and the Delphi EFI full-injection system. And after January 2021, the Motion EFI system was added for EURO5 environmental standard models.

Dellorto ECU

The Dellorto system can be found in AGM and BTC scooters from 2018 and 2019. Brands such as Sym, Kymco and Peugeot also use this system. The Dellorto system is not actually an injection scooter, but due to its electric carburetor it does fall under the EURO 4 standard. The system is referred to by an abbreviation as the Dellorto ECS. This stands for Electronic Carburator System.

Rongmao and Delphi EFI

Senzo and La Souris models almost all use it Rongmao EFI full-injection system, which works much better than the Dellorto system.

Since March 2020, AGM, BTC and GTS have also switched to the EFI full injection system, but from the brand Delphi. These scooters can be recognized by the red EFI stickers on the side of the scooter.

Information about: Speed converters performance sets with remote control euro4 and euro5 for many brands of China Scooters. Also making adapters possible for mounting on different brands.

China scooter parts has developed a unique product: A speed converter which works together with the original ECU from Dellorto, Rongmao, Delphi and Motion. This is a unique product that works completely wirelessly. Using a remote control you can easily switch between the original speed, 45 km/h or unlimited.

The original ECU must be present for correct operation. If the ECU software has been moderately overwritten, the speed converter will not be able to limit it to the original speed, for example 25 km/h.

These speed converters work together with the original ECU. So you only have to purchase the speed converter. Bee  Dellorto  models you also have a smooth one variobus necessary. We supply these China scooter parts free of charge. Each brand also has a different connection, which is why we supply various adapters with the speed converters free of charge. This allows us to easily install the speed converter on any scooter. We have various installation videos for our products in the webshop. Each article states which adapter or smooth Variobus your scooter needs.

BTC Riva/Felice & AGM VX50 EURO5 SCOOTERS, 2021 to present.

In 2021, the government has decided that scooters may emit even less emissions and that EURO4 scooters may no longer be sold. AGM and BTC started with the Dellorto ECS system in 2018, which was very disappointing in terms of reliability. In 2020 they made the switch from the Delphi full-injection system. This time they made the right choice, the Delphi EURO4 system was a relief compared to the Dellorto ECS EURO4.

But in The Hague, the government was already working on making the EURO5 scooter mandatory in 2021. The Delphi ECU had to make way for a successor. The MOTION full-injection system, unknown to us, was introduced for the EURO5 models 2021. Fortunately, the MOTION full-injection system turned out to be just as reliable as the DELPHI. We only ran into a problem, our speed converters worked on all brands of ECUs that had been released to date. But then MOTION came into play, and they didn't want to play along. We then had a speed converter made especially for the MOTION ECU, in orange. Below we will place an image, if you click on it you will automatically go to the page where you can find the special EURO5 MOTION SPEED CONVERTERS / PERFORMANCE SETS.

Power commander with remote control for Piaggio Zip, Vespa Primavera models euro4 I-Get.

At Piaggio/ZIP/Vespa they of course do everything their own way, but we have also found a solution for this. The Power Commander on remote control.
The latest generation limiter for boosting your Vespa Scooter with 4T3V iGet Euro4 engine 25KM has a number of important advantages.
First of all, the Power Commander limiter for the i-Get Motors is now finally affordable. We have purchased this product in such large quantities that we can offer it to you at wholesale prices. Many people do not know that their Piaggio Zip, for example, is a Chinese scooter. For those who don't know this… Walk to your zip, open your buddy seat, and look at the white sticker in the front…. And yes, a sticker that says; made in China, just like your Apple phone, for example, also comes from China. We have had direct import lines with factories since 2008, from which you can benefit. You buy from us as a private individual at wholesale prices, because there is no middleman.

That is why we currently offer the Lowest Price Guarantee on the power commander!! Cheaper elsewhere, you get the product for free!

  • The power commander is very easy to connect, this time truly plug & play. On YouTube you will find several installation videos on how to install the limiter. Enter “power commander vespa iget” in your search YouTube.
  • You have NO fast ECU needed, for example from Malossi or Brom ECU.
  • You achieve higher speeds than other solutions (you must use a smooth Vario bush and 6,5 gram rolls)
  • Straight from the factory. No unnecessary overhead costs, hence this incredibly cheap price.
  • You do not have to set the speed via the sensitive potentiometer, which often breaks or expires. The Power Commander is automatically set to 33 km GPS per hour, and at the push of a button it drives without limits. The unlimited speed depends entirely on which setup you use. A moped scooter may travel at 34GPS construction speed, but only above 35km per hour will you receive a WOK notification or fine. By pressing the  "Link"  You can read more information about this by clicking here. Keep in mind that a scooter's counter deviates around 5 km from the top, so you must measure the limited position, for example, with a GPS app on your phone.
  • A speed of 33 km per hour GPS will be around 38 km per hour on your counter.

This variant has a fixed limited position with which your scooter approx 32/33km/h GPS. 2km below WOK status speed.
(note, this may be higher on your odometer, these deviate from the above) And then you go into the unlimited mode 50 to 65 km/h depending on what else you have adjusted to your scooter. This of course depends on the complete set-up and what else you have adjusted.

First of all, you save a lot of money because you only need the power commander limiter Iget euro4. In addition, a lot of work, because you do not have to adjust the hyper-sensitive and vulnerable potentiometer. You also don't have to worry about the speed slowly increasing or decreasing. Because the potentiometers expire over time, unfortunately. Then you would have to disassemble the power commander again and set it up all over again. With this power commander limiter I-get euro4 this is all a thing of the past.

Operation:

  • Fast mode: with the engine running, press button A on the remote control.
  • Back to limited position: switch the engine off and on again or press button B.

The set is equipped with two luxurious original coded remote controls.

Incl. two coded, unique remote controls.

The computer is located behind the front cover. You need to unscrew the inner screen of the front cover and mount the power commander plus adapter between the wiring harness. The power commander has already been adjusted from the factory, and nothing needs to be adjusted with a sensitive potentiometer.
