BATTERY CHARGER TRIPLE CHARGER SCOOTER 6/12V
Trickle charger
A full battery is therefore important. There must be sufficient voltage in your battery to get your scooter started. A battery charger is useful if you rarely use the scooter. You can also use a battery charger as a trickle charger so that your battery remains charged and therefore always charged. A battery can discharge very slowly on its own. A trickle charger is therefore also recommended if you regularly do not use your scooter, which means that the scooter's dynamo does not automatically charge while driving.
How do you connect the charger?
A battery charger is easy to connect. First make sure that the battery terminals of the battery are exposed. On most scooters you have to unscrew a cap for this. The cover is usually secured with 1 or 2 screws. Battery chargers almost always have 2 clamps, called alligator clips. These are clamps whose mouth opens when you squeeze them. This allows you to easily attach them to the battery terminals. After you have connected the alligator jaws, you can plug the charger into the wall socket. Some chargers have an indicator so that you can see whether charging is taking place and the condition of the battery.
Charging time
The charging time depends on the type of battery and the type of charger. The amperage (current) is the factor that determines the charging time. A higher amperage charges the battery faster. To maximize the lifespan of the battery, it is best to use a suitable charger that is compatible with the capacity of the battery. A trickle charger ensures that the battery remains full. Charging takes longer. A battery charger charges an empty battery the fastest. On average this takes 6 hours.
